Indian Lake is the Whitewater Capital of the Northeast. The mighty Hudson river begins right here! Come stay in one of our cabins and walk to the rafting company right across the street, Adirondac Rafting Company. 

Escape the city heat! Nights here are clear and cool and our starry skies are breathtaking. Hiking trails are numerous and the adventurous among you can climb to the top of the Southern Tier's highest peak, Snowy Mountain and be rewarded with an unparalled vista of our 14-mile long Indian Lake.

 

Our cafe is open Thursday through Monday, 7 AM to 4 PM. We have freshly baked breakfast pastries & muffins every day. On Sundays, we feature a breakfast buffet for $6.99 per person. Our lunchtime offerings include a daily soup, a quiche of the day, and a variety of ready-made salads & sandwiches. Cabin guests get free coffee or tea every morning. Plan to visit us soon!

We specialize in baking for special diets and can plan to have vegan or gluten-free baked goods available if you call in advance.

While traveling with his father, young Alec becomes fascinated by a mysterious Arabian stallion that is brought on board and stabled in the ship he is sailing on. When the ship tragically sinks both he and the horse survive only to be stranded on a deserted island. Alec befriends the horse, so when finally rescued both return to his home where they soon meet Henry Dailey, a once successful trainer. Together they begin training The Black to race against the fastest horses in the world.

Reservations are strongly suggested as dinner guests get priority seating for the movie. Or come at 8 PM and see the movie -- it's free but it is first come, first served. Space is limited to 25 and no one will be admitted after the movie has begun.

 

 

FAQ's

Are you on the lake?

We are conveniently located within walking distance of the town of Indian Lake. The lake itself is about a 10 minute drive. A marina is available there to rent motor boats and canoes for a day on the 14 mile long lake.

Is there a kitchen in the cabins?

No cooking facilities in the cabins but the cafe is right next door! Come in for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch.

Are linens/towels provided?

Yes. A full set of fluffy white towels is provided for each guest plus a towel for your pet, if you should decide to bring a dog along.

Pets are allowed?!
